Hello all, my name is Chris. I am a 26 year old New Jersey native with a passion for hiking, photography, and all things adventure. Being born and raised the first 10 years of my life in South Philadelphia I never saw woods, I never went camping on family trips or anything like that. It wasn’t until my parents moved us to New Jersey that I got a little taste of the wilderness.
At a young age my friend and I would ride our bikes through the trails that surrounded our houses. It when then I knew that there had to be more out there I could enjoy more then the same trails we would ride.
I can’t seem to put an age on it but I would say around 16 was when hiking really became a part of my life.
Skip ahead, a decade later, I have hiked around 15 State Parks/Forest in New Jersey, between 10-13 in Pennsylvania and like 5 in New York. I have also hiked the New York section of the Appalachian Trail. In 2017 some friends and I took a 13 hour road trip up to Maine for 4th of July weekend and spent 10 days camping in what is known as the 100 Mile Wilderness. We stayed at Baxter State Park about a 20 minute drive from the base of Mount Katahdin.
